Bogs are eerie. Inaccessible. Inhuman. Full of weeds and beasts. During this project we explored the unwelcoming appearance of bogs and their climatememory. We digged down layer by layer into this natural archive of environmental history. We staked through reeds and sunk into mosses. Listened to the silence and smelled the mud to understand the importance of this rather hostile place.
This project resulted in an exhibition consisting of layered blocks, collected natural materials as well as a small publication, providing insights into the depths of the bog.
